Silver Jubilee Motivation Programme was observed during the Youth-centric Worship Service at EBCC Delhi today. The Worship Team took the lead in praise and worship of The Lord. Offertories collected were consecrated by Upa Dr B Langkham. Pastor Biakson performed a solo of the song “Hon len kip ning” and went on to deliver a brief sermon based on Jeremiah 33:3. The bi-monthly prayer was also conducted by the Pastor. Privilege was extended to Upa Dr B Langkham and Upa Khamkhanpau Guite to share few words on what they might have to say about EBCC Delhi’s Silver Jubilee celebration close at hand.
Looking back, the Elders basked in the wonderful blessings of the good Lord – for one, the humble 1-BHK room where in 1992 the Church was established and to see just how much bigger the church building has come to be in 2017! The anticipation of the Jubilee celebration was clear. All things are possible with God; welcoming Jesus Christ as the guest at the celebration, were some of the words shared.
Pastor Biakson read out a passage from the Holy Bible: “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” [Jeremiah 33:3] We have been blessed by God in different ways in our lives, yes, but The Lord desires to show us a great many more things; things we have never seen before in our lives; things we have never experienced at any point in our lives before, said the Pastor. At this Silver Jubilee celebration, we need only to ‘call to Him’ and beseech Him of His blessings that He has assured us. How much have we forfeited because we had not turned to The Lord? Like Jacob, have we been lost in pursuit of the pleasures of this life? Have we not rather to seek The Lord, for His blessings are really all we need in this life and beyond? Jacob in the end, explained the Pastor, realised the one true blessing he had needed all along was from The Lord, and wrestled the angel hard. The Lord did not hold back His blessings from Jacob. The Lord does not hold back from all who call to Him and wrestle Him!
