Worship Service Write-up

Sunday Worship Service | 16 July 2023 | 11:00 PM

A song of praise and worship was sang by the congregation. After sometime a mass
surrendering was held in the form of prayer. The day offering was dedicated by Elder
Chinsum.
 A special no. was presented by Florence Sonkim
 Moving on to the next item, Pastor Dr Suankhanhau Gualnam occupied the stage to deliver
his speech, before he did anything he let the mass follow a slogan which was labelled as “O
Lord, how privilege we are to have you as our God, we honour your name, give praise and
glory to you, Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! He started by stating that it’s a privilege to
praise God also he wish that if praising and worship had not stop. The speaker welcomed
those first timer of the church by raising the right hand.
Psalms 46 is the text on which my sermon is based on he said. We will look into this chosen
chapter to know what God wanted us to know about his Godliness. While I was confined on
this chapter alone for my sermon the lord gave me a new insight this morning that through
our praise and worship I came to realised that God alone is our lone saviour and for that
reason we became the citizen of paradise, he praise the name of God. Coming back to the
text he divided the chapter into three main heads. Firstly, God is our shield from the
savagery and atrocities of our enemy. Secondly, God is our fortress from the attack of our
enemy. Thirdly the war was hackled by the glory of God. The first point made clear that arms
and ammunition are not the things that save during war but it was God who save us as it is
said in the first verse of the chosen bible chapter, God is our refuge and strength. This God is
called Elohim, which was the combination of the father, the son and the holy spirit as one.
The next line of the same verse tells that if we feel discourage during trouble time, it is
probably because we forget God, said our speaker. The second and third verse convey to us
that the more we know about him there is nothing to fear, even at the jaw of death it is the
connection that we have with him that keep us calm and even more, we will be with him
eternally. The fourth, fifth and sixth verse speaks about God being our fortress his presence
and his protection made him Immanuel. Theologians explain that the ‘river’ in verse four
was a prophesy of the things yet to come in the future, probably when God’s kingdom come
and his throne install on the earth but the focus here is on his presence in verse five said our
speaker. In verse six we can see the power of God onto the sentence, ‘the earth melts’ he is
so powerful that with his command anything just melt away from metal to the hardest
substance. Therefore the lord of ages, whom he keep and protect will be save from his
wrath and anger when it pour down upon the mankind as it was emphasise on verse 7. The
next verses (8-11) want us to acknowledge the glory of our lord had hackled the battle. It
means that the lord destroy the enemy that march to attack which eventually cease the war
for there is none to fight with. That line, “be still, and know that I am God” once again
remind us that he is the absolute controller of everything that happened, be it war or
whatever. The chosen nation i.e Israel will know God not only them but nations around
them will also know that he is God the father and He will be exalted in the earth. That is why

God give us victory for his own glorification said our speaker. It is important for us to serve
his will and manage within ourself to follow his desire so that we can witness his glory and
he may give us his salvation.
The speaker held a prayer to conclude his sermon.
 Worship team lead a closing prayer and after that Elder Khamgoupau Guite occupied
the stage, he read out a chosen bible verse taken from the book of 2Chronicles 7:14
and the mass prayer started. He held the closing prayer and the service ended.
