The Evangelical Baptist Convention (EBC) is a Christian organization rooted in the teachings of the Bible and firmly committed to the mission of proclaiming the Word of God, baptizing believers, and nurturing disciples in faith. The Church actively engages in evangelism, establishing churches and Sunday schools, providing skill development trainings to women, running educational institutions and rehabilitation programs to uplift society. The Church adheres to a firm faith statement, recognizing the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God and upholding core Christian doctrines, including the Trinity, the deity of Jesus Christ, salvation through faith and the unity of believers in Christ.

The Evangelical Baptist Convention (EBC) was born in 1948 at a little village called Sialbu in Southern Manipur, India. EBC Stands for

As a church EBC has multiple responsibilities and concerns. It is also true that it cannot emphasize one ministry at the cost of another hence maintaining balance has been the rule for smooth functioning. EBC is committed to caring its members and to propagate the gospel to people of other faiths. At home EBC is involved in the following ministries:

For effective administration and coordination, the Evangelical Baptist Convention (EBC) is organized into nine divisions. Each division is led by a Divisional Superintendent, who oversees its operations, spiritual activities and organizational growth. This structure ensures smooth governance, better outreach and efficient management of church affairs across different divisions.

Missions

The Evangelical Baptist Convention (EBC) is committed to ending the gospel poverty, to previously unreached communities in particular through its dedicated Mission Fields. Each Mission Field operates with the goal of evangelism and discipleship. To ensure effective administration and smooth operations, a Field Superintendent is appointed to oversee and manage the activities in each Mission Field. Through these efforts, EBC continues to expand its mission, bringing spiritual growth and hope to new regions.

Social Development

The Evangelical Baptist Convention is dedicated not only to spiritual growth but also to all round development, with a particular focus on children education in remote areas. Recognizing the importance of education in transforming lives, EBC actively runs English medium schools in such remote areas, providing quality education and opportunities for children who may otherwise have limited access to formal education. Through these initiatives, EBC aims to uplift communities, empower future generations and contribute to overall societal development.
