Sunday Worship Service | 2 March 2025 | 03:00 PM
The worship session for the evening service was opened with a verse from the Bible, Sam 27:13-14. After a reviving worship with the congregation, Elder B. Langkham dedicated the offerings for the day to the Lord.
With the start of a new month, the monthly pastoral prayer over the church was carried out by Pastor Dr. Suankhanhau. He shared a few additional prayer points for the church to remember in their private prayers. These were regarding:
- The BCD Annual Sports to be held on March 15
- BCD’s Purity Sunday on March 16
- Young Couples Seminar on March 22
- Mental Health Awareness Seminar on March 29
- All Night Prayer on March 30
The speaker for the day was Reverend Gin Malsawm, who first gave a short report about the Grace Bible College (GBC). He started with Exodus 13:17-22, and based his sermon around reflecting on our life’s paths, inspired by the theme of the year. He questioned whether us being in Delhi was our Plan A or Plan B and correlated it to the Israelite exodus and their perceptions of what their life was going to pan out as, in comparison to the Lord’s Will. The Reverend further reminded us that the detours we encounter in life may in fact, be in line with the Lord’s will. He elaborated on how the Lord works in mysterious ways in our lives, with surprising people helping us and the betrayals we may face from unexpected loved ones. He highlighted how through it all, the Lord’s hand is present in our lives.
The Reverend then explained that if we went with our will, He won’t be our Lord, but our Servant. If the exodus worked in the way the Israelites willed, they won’t be going past the Red Sea that was crucial in teaching them patience, endurance and waiting on the Lord. Thus, the Lord let their faith mature to prepare them for Canaan. The Reverend shared that, “It is dangerous to be outside the Will of God” and comparing the deaths of Moses and Joshua, he underscored the importance of following the will of the Lord as we cannot perceive what the Lord sees about our future. Lastly, he encouraged the church to reflect on our lives and live it in such a way that we won’t regret it when we meet the Lord.
The worship team led the congregation in a short worship segment after which, Elder N. Sonzalian closed the service with a prayer.
