Worship leader read out John 3:16 and committed the worship service to the Almighty. A heartfelt praise and worship ensued, and was followed by dedication of offerings to the Lord by Upa Khamkhanpau Guite.

Pastor T Lamkhanthang read out Psalm 28:1 and called the congregation to a mass prayer. He introspect on the events that occurred in the previous week, and cautioned the congregation that it may be God’s final warning that call us to faithfulness, so we must turn back to Him. Pastor Thang then led the congregation in a mass prayer. He also extended warm greetings to visitors – Mr. and Mrs. Upa K Vungzamoi.

Pastor Thang delivered a heart-rending sermon based on Deuteronomy 28:1-14. He invoked the presence of the Lord and gave an outline of the sermon (Deuteronomy 28:1-14) –law given by God for the Israelites which entails blessings and curses. God fulfilled His faithful promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by bringing the Israelites to the Promised land, where God established statutes and ordinances for the Israelites to follow and bestow His blessings to them. Similarly, Christians have inheritance in Jesus Christ because of God’s promise. So, we must be covenant-obedient in all our ways. Blessings and prosperities are from God alone, and the material things that we so often claimed as blessings could be a curse if they are not from God. Quoting Matthew 6:33, Pastor exhorted that if we want to be an exalted nation positioned at the head, we must seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, and examine the things we claimed as blessings and the actions we do to acquire them. God’s blessings (exalted nation) yields abundant prosperity, victory, and an established nation as holy people (exalted nation). He bestowed these blessings to nations that He deemed are worthy of being positioned as the head, who can share God’s blessings to others.

Pastor empathetically expressed concern that this is not the case, and that our financial sustenance should be on par with God’s commandment; otherwise we will suffer the consequences of God’s curses. Pastor substantiated this by reading from Deuteronomy 28:43-45, he firmly called out each one of us including pastors, church leaders, government service workers, patriots, and village councils to carefully examine our detestable ways before the Lord. He asked a rhetorical question of whether we are really deserving of God’s blessings and being positioned as the head or not, and elicited that our current situation revealed the opposite is true. He ended his exhortation by highlighting that our greatest fear should be that we might be fighting God and not people, and strongly urged each one of us to repent and return into the way of righteousness, so that God will establish, restore, and sustain us. Pastor then concluded his session with a word of prayer.

Led by the worship team, the last hymn was sung and Upa H Kam Suanthang closed the morning service with a solemn prayer.
