Worship leader read out Scripture portion from Psalm 92:1-4 and committed the service to the Lord. After the worship team led the congregation with a lively praise and worship session, Upa Khamgoupau dedicated the offerings to the Lord.

Pastor T. Lamkhanthang led the congregation in mass prayer. He also extended warm greetings to the congregation, Rev. L Khamkholun and Mrs. Ching, Upa L Ngulminthang, and first time visitors to the church.

Pastor Thang took up the Sunday school class. He covered Lessons 3 and 4 (Ephesians 1:3-14) from the Sunday school book. He also read out the entire text (Ephesians 1:3-14) and made an invocation of the Lord. He then gave a brief overview of today’s lessons – Spiritual blessing encompasses God’s adoption through Christ, His election, redemption through His blood, and being sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Pastor ascribed Spiritual blessing to God’s adoption of us into His family through Christ, since there is no Spiritual blessing outside of Jesus Christ. Pastor fervently expressed his message by requesting the congregation to sing together “Ka Kisaktheihna”.

Pastor Thang continued to expound on how we were predestined (Greek: proorizo) for adoption by God into His family through Jesus Christ even before the foundation of the world. So, we must bear the family likeness –holy (Greek: hagios) and blameless (Greek: amomos) (verse 3-5). God purposed the adoption of sinners like us to praise and glorify His glorious grace (verse 6). God’s immense grace and mercy conferred His forgiveness for humanity through His redemptive act by the blood of Jesus Christ, which brought about liberty to all of humanity (verse 7). God, by His sovereign power, predestined believers (who first hope in Christ –Jews, and Gentiles) an eternal inheritance. His great plan and purpose which was once hidden is now revealed to us in Jesus and will be realized in fullness when the time is ripe for the fruition of His purpose (verse 8-12). The Holy Spirit seals the work of Christ –salvation, for the coming glory. The sealing work of the Holy Spirit indicates ownership, security, testament, a glimpse of our future inheritance, and a guarantee that we will one day receive God’s eternal inheritance in the fullness of time (verse 13-14). Pastor then concluded his lesson with a word of prayer.

Led by the worship team, the congregation sang together the last hymn. Upa H Kam Suanthang closed the morning service with prayer and benediction.
